Relearning to Slow Down
Last weekend we went quail hunting at the 74 Ranch south of San Antonio. This is always a fun hunt and we do it four times a year.The thing that I learned (and probably have to relearn at the beginning of our year of hunting) is to slow down and not shoot too far in front of the birds. Vicki's Accomplishment at 2014 Nationals
What a great time at the 26th NSCA National Tournament.At the Hall of Fame Banquet, we found out that I was the only one that had been to all 26 years of tournaments. Who knew?Fun Times in the RVWe got there on the Saturday before the tournament and moved into our RV for the week. The Beverly Hillbillies have nothing on us. Back from Quail Hunting
Headed back to Fulshear after the morning hunt with Rachel and Gary. Man, were the birds on these past few hunts strong flyers. They were perhaps the strongest flyers I have ever seen on pen-raised birds. Of course you're gonna get your share of “motte hoppers” that just flush low and drop into the next motte.
