Keep the Barrel in the Periphery

Keep the barrel in the periphery!

The barrel is always fuzzy - never in focus - as it has a place on the edge of your vision.

A common problem I see all the time is the gun starts in the edge of vision, but as the target is coming to the gun, the vision shifts from 95 percent on the gun and 5 percent on target to more like 70 percent target and 30 percent gun.

The more attention you give the gun, the less you have to give to the target. It’s like a slinky. The barrel is not there when you’re hitting them well, but when you miss and start to try, the bigger the barrel gets.

Make sure the gun is always fuzzy out there in the periphery and never in center vision! Back to Blog
