Transformation at Advance School

It was amazing to watch the transformation of everyone that attended the Advance School the last two weeks. It makes me so happy as a coach to push my students to the next level, even when they can be a little standoffish.

It was exciting to watch how the brain makes everything look normal after it sees the shot come together a couple of times.

At the end of the day, it is all about keeping the sequence: loading the gun the same and calling "pull" the same time every time so the brain knows to the tenth of a second when it’s going to have to act.

I found that after the first shot, everyone’s sequence sped up and therefore the result was a miss on the third or fourth target shot. This is a huge deal when you are shooting four and five-pair stations.

Remember to keep it simple: Keep it on the right side of the barrel if it is coming from the right, and if it’s coming from the left, keep it on the left side of the barrel, and stay in sequence.
