Committing to the shot is critical to eliminating the mindless stream of drivel that runs through your head when trying to shoot the target or compete in a tournament. It is there because you have not decided how you want the shot to be taken. You are not at peace within yourself, which allows the chaos to grow and the thinking begins. Thus, the argument and trying to fix the shot at the end.
