Every Action with the Muzzles

In skeet, all but four targets are shot in the first third of their flight path, which means every action must be perfect.

We have found one swing thought that has improved so many skeet shooters over our 42-year shooting coaching careers:

Every action with the muzzles should be away from the action!

If your first move is always away from the action, this will allow for you to slow the target down by adjusting your gun speed to the target speed.

In our Knowledge Vault, we have what we call the “Skeet Kill Shot Review.” This is a series of each shot in skeet shot with the ShotKam so you can better visualize the shot you are about to take.

Shooters who have watched this KSR before going out to practice or shoot league or tournaments have scored more consistent higher scores.
